What are thigh exercises that actually work?
Sarah asked:
Ok so my thighs aren’t the greatest. Any exercises to help tone them or lose weight in that area? I’m tired of them rubbing together. Thanks
Oh I’m almost 5′7″ and 120 lbs. I look fine on the outside but man… underneath… its a whole other story. Stretch marks don’t help either
.
I don’t exercise either if that helps lol. I guess I should…. How long do you think it will take to shape them up?

forsure. One of the good ones i use is…..
you jump down to the ground so your in a froggy position, then..
jump into the pushup position, then..
jump up..
This helps the thighs alot! And the arms!
Hope this helps!!!
If you don’t exercise then there you go. You could start walking fast for at least 30 minutes 4 days a week. Do some cardio activity. Get your heart up. That will help burn fat.
Do some pilates. It’s not easy but it’s a program that is progressive as in it’s easy to move forward onto more difficult exercises and you feel progress quickly. It works your core primarily but also works the total body. Gymnasts and dancers all do pilates. It’s been around 80+ years so it’s proven to be effective. It doesn’t take a lot of time to get results. 20-50 minutes is great. But really you can do less if you are pressed for time. It feels great.
I used to do gymnastics and dance and I loved doing this. A few years ago I got back into it and have not quit. I just love it. I’m more committed than ever before. I love the results. My midriff has never been in better shape. My legs are in good shape.
Yesterday was my 3rd workout for pilates (Total Core Pilates by Jules Bensen) and my legs feel sore. I didn’t use weights.
Give it a try. I think you will like it. Don’t do try to do too much too quickly or you might get discouraged. Exercise should be fun and enjoyable. You will adapt pretty quickly and be able to do more. Just keep at it. I look at it as my fun time. It’s me time. It helps me do everything else I need to do.
edit: Brookie has a great exercise but it’s a hard one. You won’t have to do many reps to feel it. On the way back up. You can stand up and jump.
Jump. Squat down into froggy position. Then push back into push up position. Get up. Hold the abs in to protect the back.
Form matters or you risk injury. Wear good supportive sneakers.
edit: Traditional exercises are squats, lunges, and plies. There are lots of variations.
4times a week, 2hrs each, see significant results within 1month. This really works for me. Tighten ur thigh also flatten ur (guess what?) TUMMY!!! I dont like to sweat. So SWIM baby SWIM… Hell yeah!
